At the heart of the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny appellations of origin in the town of Cheverny itself, the 25-hectare family estate is located on the route to the Loire castles (Chambord, Cheverny, Blois, and Troussay).
Three types of soil stand out: silico-clay (Sologne sands), silico-clay-limestone and gravel on faluns (former marine sedimentation), all on limestone bedrock.
The young and vigorous vines are grassed. Elsewhere, the land is plowed and cultivated. Manual harvest in order to sort the grapes and maintain their integrity.
In the cellar, the team limits itself to monitoring the different phases of winemaking, without technical artifice. The grape varieties are vinified separately, without yeasting and with a minimum addition of sulfur.

Le Clos du Tue Bœuf is a story which goes back to several centuries. The first vines of the estate are from The Middle Age. Jean Marie and Thierry Puzelat are two brothers who were winemakers in France and abroad, before coming back to the family company.
Today, Clos du Tue-Bœuf is first and foremost Zoé, Louise and Thierry Puzelat, but also all the people who work year-round and in season at the estate.
Coming from a mainly clayey parcel, this cuvée has a lot of freshness and minerality. You can taste notes of well-ripen black fruits. This wine has powerful tannins and is very aromatic and will go marvelously with red and white meats as well as grilled meats.
