The place where the Domaine stands is full of mysteries… It is said to have been built near the remains of a medieval castle of which only a few stones remain. The estate was once reportedly part of the Seigneurie of Fougères, another castle constructed and rebuilt between the 11th and 14th centuries—a beautiful fortified castle that can still be visited today.
Legend also has it that this location served as a place of justice. Could its name, Salvard or Salvert, mean “salvation”?
